Oberhausen Train Station (Hauptbahnhof) is situated at Willy-Brandt-Platz in Oberhausen. Streets near the train station include Poststrasse, Christian-Steger-Strasse, Danziger Strasse, Tannenbergstrasse, Buschhausener Strasse, Hansastrasse, and Coccordiastrasse.
Oberhausen Hbf is on the high speed rail line between North Rhine-Westphalia and the Netherlands (Cologne – Düsseldorf – Duisburg – Oberhausen – Arnhem – Utrecht – Amsterdam). High speed ICE trains go in about 2 hour intervals on this line.
Besides the ICE trains, there are other non-high-speed services to various destinations in Germany and the region, including for example Münster, Gelsenkirchen, Krefeld, Bonn, or Koblenz.
Oberhausen Train Station is also served by Rhein-Ruhr S-Bahn lines 2 and 3, with frequent connections to Duisburg, Essen, Dortmund, and many smaller towns in the region.
