Autostazione Lampugnano (Milan Bus Station)

Autostazione Lampugnano is the main bus station for international and long-distance buses in Milan. It is not far from the San Siro football stadium and horse racing area. It is on metro line 1 (Lampugnano metro station), with direct connection to Cadorna, Duomo and other places in the city centre.

Is This My Bus Station?

If you are coming to Milan by a regular international or Italian long-distance bus service, the answer is most likely yes, as these usually go to Lampugnano station. In timetables the station is usually listed as Milano / Milan / Mailand Autostazione Lampugnano, Via Giulia Natta (or just Via Natta). The keyword is “Lampugnano” and it’s almost always there.

If you are coming by an airport transfer bus from Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo airport, you are more likely to arrive to some other location (often the central train station), although some of these, particularly from Malpensa, may also come to Lampugnano station.

Location and Directions

The bus station’s entrance is from Via Giulio Natta, which is the main street which starts at the corner of Parco Monte Stella. You can find the station marked on the map below:

The best way to get there from elsewhere in Milan is by metro (the red line 1, the branch to Rho Fiera), although there are also local bus services, including night buses. For detailed directions, please see Milan Lampugnano Bus Station: Location and Directions.

Hotels near Lampugnano Bus Station

The immediate surroundings of the bus station are not a typical tourist district, therefore accommodation options are quite limited. More hotels can be found in the nearby San Siro, which is of course a popular area (hotels here can be sold out long in advance for times of big football games and other events). Even more accommodation options are available in the historical centre, which is some 15 minutes away by metro line 1.
