Warsaw main international bus station is Warszawa Zachodnia, which means Warsaw West Station. Zachodnia is also a train station – one of the big three stations in Warsaw (Zachodnia, Centralna, and Wschodnia – West, Central, and East). Buses operated by most international and long-distance carriers, including Eurolines, terminate or stop at Zachodnia. Domestic buses sometimes go to another bus station, Warszawa Stadion.
You may see Warsaw Bus Station being referred to under different names in different materials. The official Polish name for Warsaw Bus Station is Dworzec Autobusowy Warszawa Zachodnia (dworzec autobusowy means bus station in Polish). Sometimes it is also called Dworzec PKS Warszawa or Dworzec PKS Warszawa Zachodnia (PKS stands for Przedsiebiorstwo Komunikacji Samochodowej – Polish bus lines). You may also see Dworzec PKP Warszawa Zachodnia, which is the train station at the same place (PKP = Polish Railways). The bus and train station together are called Dworzec Zachodni (Eastern Station).
Warsaw Zachodnia Bus and Train Station is located in the western part of Warsaw greater city centre, next to the intersection of three big streets: Aleje Jerozolimskie (the main street going through Warsaw city centre from south-west to north-east), Aleja Prymasa Tysiąclecia, and Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920 r. It is about 3km from Warsaw inner city (Centrum Metro Station and Warsaw Central Train Station), with very frequent public transport connections.
